Have you ever wondered what your odds were in the universe for getting out of this life the things you wanted? Well, this book is designed to help you bring into focus some of the things that create the odds. This book is designed to bring into clarity some of the techniques you can use to adjust the odds. This book is designed to give you insight and a path to personal power that might help you become the odds that you need to have in your life.

Welcome as we try to solve the most valuable equation, the most valuable problem that each of us might ever possess – the equation required for us to unlock our own potential and beyond. Welcome to the X-Factor Formula.

Now first of all let’s talk about odds. Let’s visualize odds. The examples I like to give in our workshops are that I’d like you to imagine Las Vegas. If you’ve been to Las Vegas think about Las Vegas. If you’ve never been to Las Vegas, well you’ve seen it on TV. Las Vegas has some of the most grand and lavish hotels to be found anywhere on the earth. Some of these hotels have 3,000 to 4,000 individual rooms. They have indoor cities, indoor gondolas, and indoor roller coasters. Las Vegas is truly a unique jewel in the desert. But Las Vegas would not exist at all if not for one simple and true fact, and that simple, true fact is this: that over time the house wins most of the time. See, Las Vegas only exists because by them offering gambling and them having the millions and millions of people who come to play the games on an annual basis and the billions and billions and billions of dollars that are placed on bets and wages, the simple fact is that the house wins most of the time and Las Vegas profits enough to exist. See, this powerful concept is creative although people that visit Las Vegas and walk away with a lot less money than that with which they went to Las Vegas might not call it “creative power” but it can be, and from the Las Vegas perspective, the odds of the games played in Las Vegas almost ensure that Las Vegas will have a long-term existence as long as people continue to play. So the mission, the challenge, the quest of this simple book is to give you some ideas, some concepts, some tools and strategies that might help you as you pursue your own individual ventures, that you might find a way to become the house, that you might find a way to put the odds of success in your favor.

During the course we’re going to define X from three different angles and we’re going to color code them just to keep it simple. First there is going to be the black X and this X is going to be around location – much like when as kids we search for that lost treasure and we mark the spot of the treasure with an X on a map. The black X is going to represent a place, more specifically a place in the context of time. And then there is the red X. This red X will relate to power and leverage. We’re going to talk about that unique ability to have things happen, to make things move. And finally we’re going to talk about the blue X, the variable. Sometimes it’s an unknown variable. But it’s the thing with the biggest potential to change our possibility. We’re going to talk about the unknown possibility that we all possess but seldom use.

It is my belief that solving for these three Xs or these three ideas will give you the foundation best suited to help you deal with change. We all know that we live in a rapidly changing world now more than ever largely fueled by advancements in technology and communication. The world is speeding up and the changes that increase the speed are coming at a faster rate. So the only thing that seems to be constant in this world is that there will always be change and change will continue to come faster and faster. Solving for this X will also give you the best chance you have at expending your personal power, influencing others, attracting and organizing allies and distancing and protecting yourselves from those who might hold you down.

Solving for these Xs will give you that missing ingredient, that thing that is missing to put the magic in your quest, that one little missing element that makes everything work right.
